Maybe contact lube would free them up. This is a tested and working Waters lambda-max 480 uv detector for hplc. Hplc and data system not included in this sale. Display works fine and shows appropriate values for all settings.

I have a 481 also for sale and that knob is stiff. Last picture shows toluene in methanol as test peak. This is one model older that the 481 I also have on. Known defects: range knob is very stiff and needs soft-grip pliers to move.

This appears common in these systems. Powers up, lamp lights a 300 value and it detects peaks during test. If you want an hplc, see my other listings. System does work.
