I am selling both the digestion vessel and the cup as is because I have no way to test them. 95 and the 23 ml ptfe cup sells for this offer also includes the ptfe sample cup with 23 ml capacity.
The cup is in very good condition. It has a number carved on its bottom and cap.
I do not know the age of the vessel but it is probably at least 15 years old. The closure is spring loaded to keep the ptfe cup sealed at high temperature and pressure. This vessel is of the original design introduced by Parr in 1969, model 4745, a design that, due to its popularity and simplicity, continues to be manufactured today. The plating is worn in places see pictures but the vessel seals tightly.
Model 4745 does not include a rupture disc but the bottom plate of the vessel is designed to shear out, and prevent a more dangerous explosion, at pressures exceeding 7000 pig. It is made of solid brass with some kind of plating Parr now makes the vessels out of stainless steel.
